Youth Zine Workshop: “What Is Your Dream?” – Jan 17

Led by Kenna Augustin, a 15-year-old artist and two-time Gary Smalls Youth Media Award winner, this creative workshop introduces participants to zine-making using collage, writing, and design.In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., participants will explore the guiding question “What is your dream?” Using zines, collage, and writing, participants will explore ideas about dreams, hopes, and what matters to them right now in a welcoming, youth-centered space.
This workshop is:
- Youth-centered and welcoming
- Accessible for beginners (no experience needed)
- Focused on creativity, reflection, and self-expression
- For students, families, and educators
If you work with teens, teach humanities or arts-based courses, or are looking for a meaningful MLK weekend activity, we encourage you to share this opportunity with your students and community.
