STEM Outreach Program for Young Women in Philadelphia, PA – Apr 12
Posted by The Perry Initiative on February 11, 2025
We’re very excited to announce an upcoming Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, April 12, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM at Thomas Jefferson University/Rothman Othopaedic Institute in Philadelphia, PA. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience to encourage women to pursue careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments.
We are currently seeking applicants for our Philadelphia, PA program. Participants should be in high school (Grades 10 and up) with a passion for science, medicine and/or engineering. Although The Perry Initiative is focused on advancing women in engineering and medicine, all genders may apply to the program so long as they are committed to our mission.
We would very much appreciate it if you could pass this information along to any high school principals, high school science teachers or high school students you may know. Applicants should fill out our online application in advance of the March 18th application deadline.
Additional information can be found on our website.
The application may be accessed directly using the following link.
