Take It All Back Event
As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, WOAR (Women Organized Against Rape), a WOMEN’S WAY Member Agency, will host its Annual 5th Take It All Back community walk and speak out. Following in the tradition of Take Back the Night marches, this event will help dispel many of the myths about sexual assault and raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual violence. Take It All Back will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010, from noon to 3:00pm. The 2-mile community walk will begin at noon at the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia and will end at the Independence Visitors Center, the location of the speak out portion of the event. WOAR’s mission is to eliminate all forms of sexual violence through specialized treatment services, comprehensive education programs, and advocacy for the rights of victims of sexual assault.
