Civic Engagement Expo at City Hall
September 11 is the newly created National Day of Service and Remembrance. Mayor Michael Nutter and Global Citizen have organized a local Civic Engagement Expo on that day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the courtyard of Philadelphia City Hall as a way to promote year-round volunteer opportuni ties. Area nonprofits and community organizations are invited to provide information about their programs and sign up volunteers on site. To register (by September 4), click here.
