Academically Based Community Service Summit at Penn
Posted by on April 20, 2009
The 2009 ABCS Summit is upon us! Each spring, the Summit brings together students, faculty, administrators, and community partners for a day of thoughtful examination and discussion concerning the current state and future of Academically Based Community Service (ABCS), as well as its larger role at Penn and in West Philadelphia. This year’s summit will be held on Wednesday, April 29 from 11:00am-5:00pm in Houston Hall’s Hall of Flags. You will find a breakdown of the day’s schedule at the ABCS Summit website: http://www.upenn.edu/ccp/abcs-courses/abcs-summit.html
Whether you plan to stop by at the beginning of the event for the poster session and FREE lunch, during the middle to catch remarks by Dean Dennis DeTurck or at the end to learn about ABCS partnerships with West Philadelphia high schools, go to the website listed above and register! You can of course still attend if you do not register (though don’t say that too loudly) but you will not be eligible to win exciting door prizes!!!!
Lastly, please pass this announcement far and wide to those who you think would be interested in attending the ABCS Summit.
