Art & Justice
Aug 12
This panel discussion from 6:30-8pm is on how art can be used as a tool for social change. This project explores ways in which art can create a forum for youth, adults, and community stakeholders to hear each other as well as contribute to the debate that surrounds gun violence. The ArtWorks! program is collaborating with artist Dread Scott to create a multi-media public artwork that seeks to raise this city’s awareness about the loss of hope and the loss of potential caused by epidemic juvenile violence. Location: Lincoln Financial Mural Arts Center at the Thomas Eakins House, 1727-29 Mt. Vernon St. Contact: Sherman Fleming, 215-685-0752
