Coming Up Green: Opportunities for Jobs and Business

GPUAC holds panel on green job opportunities
The Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition anticipates that Pennsylvania will receive over $250 million targeted for the Weatherization Assistance Program through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The agency is holding a panel discussion, Coming Up Green: Opportunities for Jobs and Business in the Stimulus Package, on Wednesday, April 2nd from noon to 2pm to provide information to residents, minority businesses, and contractors on the opportunities for job training, employment, and contracting that will become available through the federal stimulus package. The discussion will be moderated by Ernest Jones, president of the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation.
The panel will take place at 1207 Chestnut Street, 4th floor. Seating is limited to the first 120. Email events@gpuac.org or call 215-815-1927 to reserve a space.
