Call for Presenters!!!!!!!!

On Saturday, May 9th, 2009 the Chester Youth Collaborative Youth Council will be sponsoring the “Flip the Script, Stop the Violence” 2009 Chester Youth Empowerment Summit at Widener University from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.    The vision of the collaborative is to build a “strong Chester community in which all youth reach their full potential and transition successfully into adulthood.”  In keeping with this vision this year’s summit has once again been designed to promote a message of anti-violence while empowering our youth to become positive catalyst for change in their lives, homes and communities.  However, we realize that we can’t do this alone.  Therefore, we are seeking skilled, energetic, culturally competent workshop facilitators in the following areas:

Hip Hop
Peer Pressure / Bullying
Adolescent Sexual Health
Adolescent Substance Abuse (Marijuana, Tobacco & Alcohol)
Social Equality in Urban Committees
Anti-Violence
College / Career Planning
Juvenile Crime & Delinquency

Please be advised that all workshops sessions run during both the am and pm segments.  Each session is approximately 90 minutes with the morning workshops from 10:00- 11:30am and the afternoon workshops from 1:00 – 2:30pm.

Modest Honorariums Are Available
