Teaching Pennsylvania?s Underground Railroad
A Workshop for Educators

This workshop for K-12 teachers will explore resources and strategies for teaching about the Underground Railroad and the experience of fugitive slaves in antebellum Philadelphia. Participants will receive a special tour of the Johnson House, an Underground Railroad site, and explore primary documents they can use to teach this compelling history. This workshop is free and Pennsylvania educators receive Act 48 credit for attendance.
