Get trained in QuickBooks

It’s the beginning of the year and time to get your financial house in order! Perhaps you’ve upgraded from a shoebox of receipts to an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of your organization?s finances and are ready to take the next step: QuickBooks. Maybe your organization is already using QuickBooks and you or your staff members need additional training.Whatever your level of QuickBooks expertise, beginner to seasoned user, training is on the way.

NPower, in partnership with Your Part-Time Controller, will be featuring a 3-part series on QuickBooks. Sessions will build upon each other from beginner to intermediate levels. If you already know the basics, Parts 2 and 3 are for you. The cost of each class is $40 per pseron for membership organizations and $70 per person for non-member organizations. Getting Started with QuickBooks

This class is appropriate for Executive Directors or others on staff of a nonprofit that is not currently using an accounting system or is unhappy with their current system and is thinking about a change. It is also appropriate for anyone who would like to learn how to begin using QuickBooks. This class will explore the reasons why you need an accounting system and why QuickBooks may be a good choice for your organization. Assistance on selecting the version of QuickBooks you need will be provided. The class will also cover: organization set-up, user administration and security, constructing your chart of accounts, using vendor, customer/job, class and other lists and backing-up.
