The SC Film Festival kicks off with an award- winning documentary film, “Kilowatt Ours,” selected film shorts, and a photo expo of Mountaintop Removal Coal Mining in Appalachia by the Southeastern Group’s own Mark Schmerling, an aerial professional photographer. Mountaintop removal/valley fill coal mining has been called strip mining on steriods. We’ll see the ecocide MTR represents and then discover how we can help the country choose a better path.
