Attic gala honors LGBTQ activists
The Attic Youth Center will host The Crystal Gala, in celebration of its 15 years empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. The event, which will take place on Saturday, November 15th, will feature a silent auction, open bar reception, dinner, dancing and an awards presentation.
NBC 10 Traffic Reporter John Ogden will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Event honorees include Kelli O’Donnell, co-founder of R Family Vacations, which provides family-friendly vacations to gay and lesbian families; Stephen Glassman, activist, architect, attorney and media personality; William Scott, activist and musical recording artist; Kristen Hopkins, activist, attorney and former Attic staff visionary; Lee Carson, activist, researcher, educator and social worker; and Tommy Atz, activist, educator and leader
The black-tie optional event starts at 6:30pm and takes place at the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia, 10 Avenue of the Arts, Philadelphia. Proceeds will help provide programming for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth served by the center.
