Posted by on October 27, 2008
CORA Services will present a skills training seminar on Empowering Bystanders: Bullying and Harassment Prevention by Students, on Thursday, October 30th from 8:30am to 1pm at 8540 Verree Road in Philadelphia.
The workshop will be led by Deb McCoy, BA, of Educational Development Services, LLC .
Research clearly tells us that to make bullying prevention a permanent and effective part of the school environment, student bystanders must be actively involved in intervention and prevention. As a result of this interactive workshop, participants will review best practices and current research in bullying prevention, learn ways that schools can develop effective student involvement in incidents of bullying and harassment, and explore ways to change school climate through involvement and leadership of students.
To register, call the CSD Conference line, 215-701-2702.
