Live United. Give. Advocate. Volunteer.
Please join us on the January 19, 2009 King Holiday when tens of thousands of volunteers serve throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware in the 14th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, the largest King Day event in the nation.
Since 1996, our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service throughout the Greater Philadelphia region has been the largest King Day of Service event in the nation. During the past thirteen years, some 400,000 people of all backgrounds and ages have participated, with many projects continuing throughout the year.
We hope that you and members of your organization will create service/volunteer projects to be completed on the King Holiday! In order to help support your organizing efforts for January 19, we will be holding planning workshops throughout our region. These sessions are designed to provide information about developing projects, technical support, and answers to your questions. It is also an opportunity for you to meet and connect with other people and organizations planning projects.
We hope that you may be able to join us for one of the seven workshops listed below. Please RSVP your attendance to one of the sessions at least 2 business days prior to the meeting date by contacting Amirah Naim at 215-665-2636 or anaim@globalcitizen.us.com.
