Webinar to Share Lessons From College-Readiness Model – Aug 17
Posted by Annie E. Casey Foundation on August 16, 2022
The Annie E. Casey Foundation will hold a webinar to share strategies and lessons from Fostering Higher Education, a college-readiness effort for youth who have experienced foster care. The Fostering Higher Education pilot project pairs high school students with education advocates at two sites with the Casey Foundation’s Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative®. The young people receive mentoring as they consider postsecondary options, apply for college admission, and seek financial aid. Support continues as they enter college to help ensure they have what they need to thrive. During the webinar, presenters will share the program’s culturally responsive strategies and practices used to advance outcomes for youth of color.
This event will take place Wednesday, August 17th, at 3:00 PM ET.
