Virtual Event: Working and Homeless in America – Apr 30
Posted by Aspen Institute on April 1, 2025
Join journalist Brian Goldstone and Maureen Conway of the Aspen Institute for a critical discussion on the growing crisis of homelessness and housing affordability in the U.S. Based on his new book, There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America, Goldstone reveals how rising rents and stagnant wages have left even full-time workers unable to secure stable housing. Through in-depth reporting, he follows families in Atlanta navigating eviction, low wages, and an inadequate safety net, challenging the notion that hard work guarantees economic security.
This event will be held virtually on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm ET.
