Webinar: Public Viewpoint: The Power of Work-Based Learning – Mar 16
Posted by Strada Education Network on March 8, 2022
Work-based learning opportunities, including internships, have long been lauded as a high-impact practice, yet less is known about the longer-term impacts of these experiences, both economic and noneconomic. By combining insights from federal longitudinal data and nationally representative surveys of current students and alumni, we identify additional evidence of the benefits of work-based learning for students’ confidence and their outcomes after they complete a degree. We also find troubling gaps in access to these critical learning opportunities.
Join Strada researchers, college students, and recent graduates for a discussion of these findings and personal experiences with internships at 2:00-3:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, March 16. Work Shift Contributing Editor Paul Fain will moderate the conversation with guest panelists and audience members to help us all learn more about work-based learning and practices that can increase equitable access to the connections both students and employers increasingly desire.
