Webinar: Partnerships for Healthy Philadelphia Watersheds – Jan 21
Posted by Penn Sustainability on January 13, 2026
How can universities and community groups collaborate to solve environmental challenges? In Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek and Tookeny-Tacony Frankford watersheds, Penn researchers and community partners are teaming up to monitor and improve water quality, promote public understanding of waterways and their threats, and implement restoration projects.
As part of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Symposium on Social Change, Penn Climate, Penn Sustainability, and the Water Center at Penn are hosting a discussion among Penn scholars and community leaders about what it takes to realize meaningful and evidence-based change within Philadelphia watersheds.
Date and Time: Wednesday, January 21 2026, 1:00-2:00 PM
