Webinar: Creating Impact in a Volatile World — Lessons Learned from the Front Lines – Mar 10
Posted by Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR) on March 2, 2021
In this complimentary SSIR Live! webinar, you will hear from three social entrepreneurs on the front lines of change, who are a part of The Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (DRK) portfolio. These leaders will share the lessons they learned in 2020 and the ways in which they were able to pivot in the moment to innovate new solutions, and channel their impact to places of immediate need.
2020 was a year like no other: a global pandemic, constant explicit reminders of systemic inequity and racial injustice, global economic turmoil, and threats near and far to the world’s democratic institutions. While 2020 may be in the rearview mirror, we don’t ever want to forget what we lived through, and the lessons we have learned from those experiences. Key among those is the lesson that inequity, at so many levels, persists—and has only increased for many of society’s most vulnerable. Looking forward to 2021, these ever-present challenges require even more innovative solutions, ones that are anchored in communities and leverage bolder and quicker action, greater resource commitment, and tenacious leadership.
