Neil Ruiz is Associate Director of Race and Ethnicity Research at Pew Research Center. He is also the founding chair of AAPOR’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Research and Affinity Group. Prior to joining the center, Ruiz was the Executive Director of the Center for Law, Economics & Finance at George Washington University, and he has also worked as a Migration and Economic Development expert at the Brookings Institution, The World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.
We will discuss the recent Pew Research Center report that highlights the lived experiences of Asian Americans. Neil will break down what they did, why they did it, what they found, and what they are doing next. You don’t want to miss this exciting discussion on what is identity, the experiences of Asian Americans in the U.S., and what it means to be ‘at home.’
