Using Federal Work-Study Funds to Support Nonpartisan Voter Registration Efforts on or Off-Campus

Starting, growing, and sustaining nonpartisan student voting groups is vital for civic and voter engagement on campus.
We have an opportunity to support these efforts effectively through Federal Work-Study funds — which the Department of Education clarified can be used to pay students who are employed directly by a postsecondary institution to support nonpartisan voter registration efforts on or off-campus.
