Posted by U.S. Department of Energy on September 19, 2023
Would you like to help college students get a step up in their solar industry training? The U.S. Department of Energy Solar District Cup Collegiate Design Competition is recruiting for the new competition year!
Please send this opportunity to a college student looking for real-world solar photovoltaic (PV) system design experience or a faculty member looking to bring this experience into the classroom.
Students who compete in the Solar District Cup Class of 2023–2024 will:
- Take on the role of a solar developer by designing solar-plus-storage solutions for a real district
- Receive access to energy tools, training, and mentorship from solar energy experts
- Have opportunities to network with industry insiders
- Participate in a unique, team-based experience that can shape their future
- Gain a career advantage that could help them land good jobs in the renewable energy industry.
September 28, 2023, is the deadline to register a student team and participate in the full-academic-year competition.
If students are enrolled in at least one college course in the Fall, 2023, semester—this could be the experience that opens up new career possibilities!
