Partners in Education, SBC Foundation Invite Entries for Telecommunications Partnership Awards
Deadline: June 17, 2002
The SBC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SBC Communications Inc., and Partners in Education are accepting nominations for the third annual SBC National Telecommunications Partnership Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding partnerships that have facilitated the integration of telecommunications technologies into education, resulting in improved student achievement and success. This year’s awards will focus on partnerships that encourage the integration of technology into teaching and learning.
Thirteen awards will be presented: two Grand Prize Awards of $10,000; one Gold Award of $5,000; and ten honorable mentions of $500. Entries will be judged on the history of the program, program goals and objectives, activities and management, sustainability, and evaluation outcomes of the partnership. Preference will be given to programs that are innovative in the way they help teachers fully integrate technology into their curriculum and instructional delivery.
Entry forms are available on the SBC and Partners in Education Web sites, as well as from the Partners in Education offices.
