Supporting Successful Transitions from Middle School to High School
November 10 Webinar
- Learn what the research tells us about the critical transition points for students during the K-12 experience
- Understand effective practices used to guide and support students through the transition from middle to high school
- Explore some effects and outcomes of a positive transition from middle to high school
Research shows that low-achieving middle school students often don’t receive the support they need in making the transition to high school. This webinar addresses ways in which educators and administrators can help students in that transition period.
Dr. Penny Bishop, Associate Dean and Professor of Middle Level Education at the University of Vermont, will share her experience with this transition and discuss the research on programs and support systems that can benefit the most vulnerable students.
This is the sixth session in our 2016 Educator Effectiveness Webinar Series.
