Summer Opportunity for Phila HS Students: Program for Future Environmental Scientists and Stewards (ProFESS)

Interested in discovering and exploring Philadelphia’s natural ecosystems? LandHealth Institute is accepting applications for its 2021 Program for Future Environmental Scientists and Stewards (ProFESS) for rising 9th-12th grade students across the city. ProFESS is about environmental justice through leadership, stewardship, and advocacy rooted in interdisciplinary, immersive, “at-the-source” learning experiences. Join us for weekly sessions throughout the summer (with the option to continue through the Fall) to spark and build curiosity and confidence about the natural processes at work in your own neighborhood and city-wide. Students are eligible for a stipend.
Deadline to apply: Tuesday, May 25, 2021 (Apply by May 15, 2021 for priority consideration)
Orientation: Tuesday, June 1 (time/location will be shared with applicants)
