Student Liaison Internship, Lower Merion Human Relations Commission – Jul 30
Posted by Lower Merion Township Human Relations Commission on July 20, 2021
The Lower Merion Township Human Relations Commission was founded in 2010 to fight discrimination with the goal of making Lower Merion a welcoming and inclusive community for all who work, live in or visit the township. It works to ensure that all persons, regardless of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, handicap or disability, use of guide or support animals, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression enjoy the full benefits of citizenship and are afforded equal opportunities for employment, housing, commercial property, and the use of public accommodations in Lower Merion Township.
The Human Relations Commission strives to enhance its ability to accomplish this mission by harnessing the perspective and creativity of high school or college students who live or attend school in the Township, and also benefits Student Liaison Interns themselves.
The Student Liaison Intern will have the opportunity to participate in Township governance, gain leadership experience, participate in positive changes in the community and obtain reference letters and/or statements of appreciation for use in job, volunteer or academic applications, and obtain support for academic credit (if available to student).
Applications must be received by July 31, 2021.
