Spring 2021 – Essential Faith Series – Share Your Story
Posted by City of Philadelphia Office of Faith-Based & Interfaith Affairs on March 23, 2021
In our society, essential workers — those whose jobs help to keep us alive and thriving — are often the most vulnerable in our communities. Essential workers are subject to policies and structures of extortion, disregard, exploitation, and isolation, and in the midst of the continuing reality of the pandemic, their plight is even more visible. Many members of our essential workforce follow diverse wisdom and faith traditions that sustain them through exhausting and unending work.
The Office of Faith-Based and Interfaith Affairs stands in fierce solidarity with the essential workers of our city. During the religious holiday seasons of Lent, Passover, Easter, Ramadan, and Ridván, we want to elevate and celebrate your courageous and vibrant stories of “essential faith,” which inspire us to deeper forms of justice, love, and connection.
Please submit short answers to our Essential Faith Series Questionnaire – including a photo – for a chance to be included in our digital series!
