School Closure Ceremony
Posted by Alliance for Philadelphia Public Schools on June 12, 2017
On June 15 we honor the 29 Philly neighborhood schools shuttered since 2011. As the school year comes to an end let us remember that Superintendent Hite intends to close 3 schools a year over the next 5 years. Closing a school tears the heart out of a community. We must stop the closing of more neighborhood Schools. Join us at 3:30 at 440 North Broad, SD HQ, for a brief ceremony before we take the tombstones and go into the School Reform Commission meeting to tell our stories. Black attire is requested.
