Request for Participants in Research Study: Minorized Women Leaders in Education

A third-year PhD Candidate in the School of Education in the Educational Leadership and Policy track at Drexel University is seeking participants for a research study.  

Are you a woman in PK-16 educational leadership in Philadelphia who has been systemically minoritized (Sexual Orientation, Ability and Neurodiversity, Ethnicity, Mental Health, Immigration/Citizen Status, Wealth, Indigeneity, Language, Marital Status, Race, Skin Color, Religion, etc.)? Consider sharing your experiences.

The purpose of this qualitative narrative study is to explore the defining moments that have influenced systemically minoritized women P-20 senior educational leaders’ career trajectories, specifically in two regions (New Orleans, LA and Philadelphia, PA) in the United States. The results of this study provide additional insight for women in education administration and those aspiring to these roles to know the similarities that exist within their shared experiences. In addition, the study outlines the realities of these women’s experiences for others who are not in these roles to attempt to inform and call on their advocacy and active allyship for women across educational leadership.
