Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on February 22, 2022
The Philadelphia Education Fund (PEF) is collaborating with GSK (Glaxo-Smith-Kline) on the Philadelphia STEM Ecosystem and Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective. Through this partnership, we are launching an affinity group for regional industries and businesses engaged in STEM education. We excited to launch this affinity group and see it flourish. Please do not hesitate to contact Nancy Peter, npeter@philaedfund.org, for any additional details or information.
The goals of this group will be to:
- Equip members with a thorough understanding of the local STEM landscape.
- Provide a forum in which participants can share successes, challenges, and strategies.
- Explore ways in which members can collaborate on projects that generate long-term impact.
- Provide opportunities for participants to showcase their STEM engagement.
Details:
- Members can represent STEM businesses or industries, or be individuals interested in this work.
- We anticipate that the group will meet monthly (virtually), with some activity between meetings.
- PEF commits to timely communication, well-run meetings, and consistent opportunities for participants’ input.
Next Steps:
- If you are interested in learning more about this group, please compete this short survey (which does not obligate you to participate).
- Multiple individuals from the same company can participate.
- Please share this information with colleagues inside and outside of your organization.
- We would like surveys completed by Friday, February 25.
