Posted by PA Statewide STEM Ecosystem on February 21, 2023
The Department of Defense (DoD) is the largest federal employer of civilian scientists. With issues of national security increasingly being waged through science and technology, the DoD has great interest in all levels of STEM education and relevant STEM career pathways. Julie Stolzer, Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships, and Toby Bothel, Director, Engineering, Design and Fabrication, from TIES will explain the “why” behind the DoD’s investments in STEM and describe the DoD’s STEM priorities and goals, including in Pennsylvania. They will share a variety of available DoD STEM resources for students, educators and STEM stakeholders, from internships to mobile digital fabrication opportunities to classroom STEM projects.
Date and Time: March 9, 2023, 4:00-5:00 PM
