Retirement Research Foundation Accepting Applications for Projects in Aging

One of the premier foundations dedicated to improving the standard and quality of life for those 65 years of age or older, the Retirement Research Foundation advocates for the inclusion, prosperity, connection, and voice of older Americans.

In support of that mission, the foundation currently is accepting applications for projects in aging through its Responsive Grants program. Applications are accepted in a number of categories, including direct service projects dedicated to improving community programming, support services, education, and care quality and coordination to enhance the quality of life of older adults; advocacy projects that work to advance policy issues through collaboration; professional education and training projects that improve the skill sets and proficiency of professionals who care for older adults; and research projects that explore both the causes and tangible solutions of the myriad issues facing older adults.

Grants of up to $174,000 were awarded in 2017.

Only nonprofit organizations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin, or Florida are eligible to apply for a direct-service grant. Research, advocacy, and training projects are considered from organizations across the U.S. but must demonstrate national relevance.

Grant applications are considered three times a year. Applicants may choose to submit an optional Letter of Inquiry detailing their project to the foundation and will receive feedback. LOIs must be submitted by March 15, 2019

See the Retirement Research Foundation website for program guidelines and proposal and LOI instructions.

Deadline: May 1, 2019
