Philadelphia Civic Trust Information Session – Mar 20
Posted by Philadelphia Civic Trust on March 19, 2019
A Community Based Opportunity for All Citizens to Engage in Public Service, Civic Trusts are new “intermediary democratic institutions” and are successfully piloted in several cities. They present an opportunity for citizens to gather in a No Blame environment to research and advance practical solutions to better their communities and their country.
Civic Trustees, trained in No Blame Problem Solving, commit to a minimum of a year of service, meeting in monthly Solution Sessions to work together with their fellow Trustees under the principles of The Civic Pledge.
We’ve organized an information session designed to help you gain a greater understanding of the Civic Trust and how it will function throughout the city of Philadelphia. This is an opportunity to learn how you can engage in public service and participate in local government decision making without having to run for office!
Join us Wednesday, March 20th from 6 to 8 pm at 1341 N. Delaware Ave. Please make sure to rsvp via email at joandelis@thecitizenscampain.org or by phone at 215-352-5115 x201, and feel free to reach out if you should have any questions.
