Philadelphia Cares Day
Posted by on September 20, 2002
12,000 Volunteers + 100 Schools = One Powerful Day of Service – It’s back to school time! Philadelphia Cares, in partnership with The School District of Philadelphia, presents the Ninth Annual Philadelphia Cares Day on October 5. Dedicated to the city’s 200,000 schoolchildren, Philadelphia Cares Day volunteers restore libraries, network computer labs, paint murals and refurbish classrooms throughout the District. It’s a lot of fun! To sign up as an individual or group, please call Philadelphia Cares at 215-564-4544 or visit http://www.philacares.com.
A special thanks to Accenture, ACE INA, The Comcast Family of Companies, and GE for their generous support of Philadelphia Cares Day.
