The Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, the premier LGBT arts organization in the Delaware Valley, seeks to hire a part-time administrative assistant to support the efforts of the Board of Directors to serve the Chorus’s membership and audience. Reporting to the President of the Chorus, the part-time administrative assistant will be responsible for entering and maintaining data, communicating with the Chorus and audience members, and assisting with proper processing of financial and administrative records.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate communication: receive written correspondence, telephone calls, and e-mail messages, and coordinate responses with staff and board members.
Coordinate financial management: receive and log invoices to be paid, receipts received for reimbursement, and donations to be processed; work with the Treasurer to maintain consistent financial records and produce reliable reports and documentation.
Coordinate data management: help to develop, update, and maintain membership and donor data.
Office management: schedule appointments for board members with outside parties as necessary; maintain files of board correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documentation.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
1 – 3 years of office administrative experience
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Excellent written and oral communications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings
Commitment to PGMC’s goals and mission

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with non-profit and arts organizations
Proficiency in database management
Proficiency in financial systems management

Schedule and Compensation
Minimum 10 hours per week, with the possibility for more hours and increased responsibilities. Pay will start at $10/hour.

Work Location
To be determined, but the ability to work remotely is preferred.
