Parent-Powered Solutions Fund (Postsecondary Student Parents) – Sep 8

Posted by Aspen Institute on July 25, 2023

Every day, Ascend at the Aspen Institute partners with leaders like you – in families, communities, and organizations – dedicated to making intergenerational family prosperity and well-being a reality. We are delighted to share an opportunity to advance postsecondary success for student parents: we invite you to submit a proposal to the 2023 Parent-Powered Solutions Fund.

Ascend has long worked to expand postsecondary pathways for parents, which are a core component of a two-generation (2Gen) approach. We know that incorporating the voices of parents in conversations where decisions are made is critical to designing and implementing sound policy and practice.

Our Parent-Powered Solutions Fund is the first parent-led fund model of its kind  designed, led, and evaluated by Ascend Parent Advisors to the Ascend at the Aspen Institute’s Postsecondary Success for Parents (PSP) initiative and funded by Imaginable Futures. This public fund supports nonprofit organizations and institutions focused on increasing postsecondary success among parents via workforce development, career and technical education, and baccalaureate degree programs. Selected partners will receive up to $50,000 in grant funding and participate in a yearlong peer-learning cohort.

This proposal process is open to the public, and we encourage you to apply and share this invitation with your networks!

Apply by September 8, 2023.
