Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on June 7, 2022

The Philadelphia Education Fund’s Afterschool STEM Fellows Program is a professional development series designed for School District of Philadelphia (SDP) staff who work at public schools and seek to create or enhance existing afterschool programs. Whether participants administer afterschool programs or work directly with students, PEF’s McKinney Center for STEM Education will offer STEM content and teaching strategies, hands-on learning, and peer support

Two identical courses will each serve up to 25 participants. Courses are planned for in-person but, as the Pandemic shifts, may convert to virtual.

Each course will offer a stipend, a community of practice, resources, and act 48 credits. Each will meet two times a week, from 9:30-11:30 AM.

  • Course #1: Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning 7/12 ending on 8/4.
  • Course #2: Mondays & Wednesdays beginning on 7/25 and ending on 8/17.
