Opportunity for OST Providers – Grant Writing Technical Assistance and Capacity Building – May 15
Posted by Fairmount Ventures on April 28, 2026
Are you a Philadelphia-area out-of-school time (OST) provider seeking sustainable funding for your programs? We invite you to apply to be part of a new capacity-building cohort designed to help OST organizations strengthen their grant writing skills to successfully secure public sector funding.
Applying for public sector grants can be complex and time-consuming, especially for community-based organizations with limited staff capacity. This initiative is designed to help. Participants will receive technical assistance that increases their skills and knowledge to:
- Identify public sector OST funding opportunities
- Vet and assess opportunities, to determine competitiveness and other factors that determine whether your organization should apply
- Understand grant application requirements, budgets, and review criteria
- Develop strong, competitive proposals
In addition to two group learning workshops, participants will gain access to one-on-one coaching for real time support as opportunities become available.
Who Should Apply. This cohort is designed for Philadelphia-based, non-profit OST providers, already operating at least one OST program serving youth in Pre-K to Grade 8, who seek assistance in securing support from the public sector. Participants must identify a staff member to attend both learning workshops (approximately 2 hours each), anticipated to take place in June and July.
Apply here to express your interest, and readiness, to join this cohort and take the next step toward securing the resources your OST programs need to thrive. Interested organizations must apply by Friday, May 15 to be considered. The application affirms eligibility, asks basic questions about your organization’s OST program and current funding structure, and begins to gather information about what technical assistance would be most beneficial to your organization. Follow this link to complete the application, which should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. 20 organizations will be selected to participate and will be notified by May 30.
