Posted by School District of Philadelphia on August 29, 2023

***Deadline to submit a proposal has been extended to Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:59 PM***

The School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) is excited to announce the launch of a new year of family learning opportunities through Family Academy: Courses and Training (FACT)!

FACT is the centralized learning opportunity for School District of Philadelphia families and community members, which provides free and interactive adult education experiences. This year, FACT will continue to build upon the flexibility and accessibility of virtual workshops while reintroducing family-friendly in-person sessions.

The FACE Office is requesting workshop proposals from qualified partners, organizations, businesses, and District offices who can develop and deliver high-quality virtual or in-person learning experiences for parents/family members, community members, and the whole family. Workshops will provide insight to parents and caregivers to support their child’s education, build capacity to advocate for their children, and provide opportunities to empower personal and professional growth. Interested applicants can read the entire Request here, which outlines the needs, context, and application guidelines.

Submit a workshop proposal.

FACE Office staff will be available to provide support around the proposal process. This includes hosting a virtual information session and ongoing office hours that will be open to interested partners:

  • Info Session: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. – REGISTER HERE
  • Office Hours: Friday, September 1, 8, & 15, 2023, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – BOOK HERE

The application closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023!
