New Paper: Community Response to the Foreclosure Crisis
Posted by on October 20, 2008
“Community Response to the Foreclosure Crisis: Thoughts on Local Interventions” aims to lay out the range of responses to the foreclosure crisis in which local government and nonprofits have been engaged recently. It provides a scheme for thinking about local responses to the crisis and the actors and organizations involved. It is by no means exhaustive, but draws on many examples from around the country. It looks at responses in terms of foreclosure prevention, short-term mitigation of negative impacts, and neighborhood/property and household recovery issues.
