National Voter Education Week – Oct 4-8
Posted by National Voter Education Week on August 31, 2021
Voters, especially new voters, should have the tools, information, and confidence they need to cast their ballots.
That’s where National Voter Education Week comes in. After an impressive inaugural year in 2020, we’re excited for 2021. Join us, October 4-8, 2021!
What is National Voter Education Week?
Throughout our years of experience promoting nonpartisan voter engagement in collaboration with colleges and universities, corporations, and election officials, we have seen many efforts focused on voter registration and voter turnout, but few focused on voter education – an essential component in ensuring that those who are registered cast a ballot.
Complementing the incredible success of National Voter Registration Day and the exciting 2020 launch of Vote Early Day, National Voter Education Week is a nonpartisan digital voter education campaign that equips voters with the tools, information, and confidence they need to cast their ballots. Launched in 2020 as well, National Voter Education Week works in conjunction with the other Civic Holidays.
Held during the first week of October, National Voter Education Week (NVEW) is a week-long digital campaign, with events live-streamed on various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. During this week of interactive education, voters learn to find their polling location, understand their ballot, make a plan to vote in person or by mail, and more.
