Lights On Afterschool: Celebrate Afterschool Programs & Staff – Oct 25&28
Posted by Youth Service America on October 19, 2021
We’re proud to be joining the Afterschool Alliance and thousands of out-of-school time programs – including our 2021-2022 YSA Afterschool Grantees supported by the Mott Foundation – in the largest nationwide showcase of afterschool programs during the 22nd annual Lights On Afterschool celebration on Thursday, October 28th!
Despite the uncertainty and challenges of this year, afterschool programs rose to the moment – supporting students & families by providing needed meals, childcare for essential workers, and high-quality virtual learning experiences when schools were forced to close. On October 28, we’re helping to shine a light on the important role of afterschool programs in our community – and you can too!
Sign up now to share if you’re planning on joining the celebration and receive information on how you can get involved in a Lights On Afterschool like no other!
And check out the Lights On Afterschool homepage for event ideas & toolkits to help make this year the brightest Lights On celebration yet!
Youth are key to community change. Shine a light on students in your community by featuring youth voice during #LightsOnAfterschool, America’s only nationwide showcase of afterschool. It’s a great opportunity for youth leaders to take center stage and share what’s important to them.
