Join the Third Cohort of the 1619 Project Education Network – Mar 20
Posted by Pulitzer Center on February 28, 2023
We are excited to announce that applications for the third cohort of The 1619 Project Education Network are now open!
This paid, virtual program invites teams of educators across the U.S. to collaborate together with award-winning journalists, historians, and the Pulitzer Center education team to create, teach, and share curricular resources that allow students to engage authentically and critically with The 1619 Project and explore key questions of racial justice and other pressing systemic issues.
Over the past two years, we’ve worked with 80 teams of educators across the United States working in K-12 classrooms and education programs in carceral facilities. This year, for the first time, we are eager to also welcome applicants from schools of education at colleges and universities in the U.S. Applications focused on curriculum and training within your school of education OR in partnership with K-12 teachers in your community will both be welcomed.
Before you apply, we encourage you to read through the program requirements and take a look at some of the curricular resources on our 1619 education portal, created as part of this program by network alumni.
Applications are due on Monday, March 20, 2023, by 11:59pm EDT.
