Join Need in Deed 2025-2026 Teacher Network – May 30

Need in Deed provides free training for 3rd-8th grade Philadelphia teachers looking to bring community and empathy building, civic action, and social justice to the classroom. We are currently recruiting for the 2025-26 school year.
Teachers receive an introductory summer training as well as monthly network meetings, one-on-one project support, and coaching throughout the school year. Teachers who apply and are accepted will join a network of educators dedicated to bringing student-centered, community-centered education to their classrooms. For project examples, click HERE.
This year, our in-person summer institute will be held on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27. In addition, first year Need in Deed network members are required to attend monthly after-school trainings throughout the course of the school year. These trainings are typically held on the last Monday of the month from 5:00-6:30.
The application to join our network is now open! The deadline to apply is Friday, May 30, 2025.
