ARBOR – Job Readiness Coordinator and Youth Instructor.  ARBOR is seeking a Job Readiness Coordinator and a Youth Instructor for the Achieving Independence Center.

The Job Readiness Coordinator reports to the Project Director and will assess the job readiness skills of participants; teach a job readiness course; provide individual counseling related to vocational exploration, goal setting, and problem-solving; address behavioral problems; assist with matching of jobs, job shadowing, volunteer, internship and work experience opportunities; and assist with internship worksite development and monitoring as well as follow-up with employers during internships and after employment.

Candidates must have a BA and two years experience; ability to communicate clearly and concisely; ability to present concepts in innovative and creative ways to address the learning styles of youth; strong interpersonal and team-building skills; experience working with youth.

The Youth Instructor will administer educational and non-educational assessments; lead classroom instruction in basic computer skills, workplace knowledge, employability skills and basic education; prepare and facilitate small group activities; schedule tutoring; maintain time and attendance records; and serve as an advocate for youth providing mentoring, support and encouragement while assisting to eliminate barriers to program completion and employment.
