Get Free Trades Training at Orleans Tech
JEVS’ Orleans Technical Institute is recruiting now for its November 2014 class of Project WOW, a free skills training program in Property Maintenance and Weatherization. The program is for Philadelphia youth ages 18 – 21 who have dropped out of high school (must have drop letter). This is a 16-week trades diploma program held Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and includes GED preparation twice a week. Students learn basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and weatherization. Transportation money is provided and GED testing fees are paid for by the program. Orleans Tech is located at 2770 Red Lion Road in Northeast Philadelphia.
