Introducing the Year of Civic Engagement, UPenn
Posted by University of Pennsylvania on November 3, 2020
University of Pennsylvania introduces the Year of Civic Engagement. In a time of great distance, Penn asks their community to think about how it can enact great engagement. The Year of Civic Engagement is a year of programming and activity that encourages the entire campus community to consider what community engagement is and how they can foster it. “This year is like no other. The pandemic, a national movement against racial injustice, and a presidential election combine to make this clear,” says President Amy Gutmann. “How fitting it is for Penn to be embarking on the most urgent and unique discussion in the history of this program.”
