Youth Action in Philadelphia is looking for college students to facilitate their Inspiring Leaders Program. The Inspiring Leaders Program is a ten month mentorship and leadership development program for high school students hosted at the University of Pennsylvania. Students in the program receive funding to organize service projects in Philadelphia. College facilitators are trained to serve as first hand mentors to 9th and 10th grade High School students. Facilitators support and coach Greater Philadelphia high school students on how to organize service projects in their communities. Furthermore, facilitators assist students in developing many leadership skills they do not gain during their time in a traditional classroom. Generally, facilitators will have a commitment to facilitating program sessions twice a month on Saturdays from 11:00am-3:00pm. Overall, it is a 8-10 hour a month commitment. Facilitators will accumulate several volunteer hours, incredible non-profit work experience with students, and a $1,000 educational stipend for their volunteer service. Students with some level of leadership experience and an incredible interest in working in the non-profit field or with students should apply. To apply, please email your resume to Youth Action’s Managing Director Mr. Anthony Phillips at [email protected] or call 1-888-Youth90 ext 906 if you should have any additional questions. Please send resume ASAP, program begins in October.
