Help Us Plan a COVID-19 Response for College Students
Posted by Rise on March 24, 2020
At Rise, we’re trying to asses how students are grappling with various challenges from COVID-19 such as sudden employment or displacement from housing. Understanding this impact is going to be crucial for adjusting our plans to get out the vote in November.
COVID-19 has transformed life for college students around the country. Many are being asked to leave campus and transition to online classes to mitigate community spread. Campus jobs have also been suddenly cut back. That’s why we are asking every college student to complete our survey to tell us how they have been affected by the coronavirus.
Even before the outbreak, students were struggling to meet basic needs. These campus shutdowns have made things that much harder for them. To connect students with the emergency resources they need, we’ve launched the Student Relief Fund in partnership with Believe in Students and Edquity.
But we also need to better understand the challenges students are facing. If you are a student, please complete this survey now and ask 3 friends to complete it too. We’ll share the results with policymakers, campus and philanthropic leaders who can help all of us rise to meet these challenges head-on.
If you are not a student, please share this email with friends or family who are so we can reach more students.
