Get a free health screening at a health department resource hub, City of Philadelphia
Posted by City of Philadelphia on October 31, 2023
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health set up resource hubs in five neighborhoods to increase access to free COVID-19 testing. As the city moved through more recent stages of the pandemic, the resource hubs expanded to offer additional free services to residents.
Each resource hub is staffed by three to four public health professionals with expertise on the health services listed below. Staff members are also familiar with other City programs and can help visitors connect with services not offered onsite.
No appointment is required to visit a resource hub.
Visitors can be screened for:
- Blood pressure.
- Diabetes (hemoglobin A1C).
- Cholesterol.
